Ryan Marshall founded this award winning restaurant at the age of 22 after winning "Manawatu Chef of the Year 2012". Within 6 months of business, Table 188 had placed as runner-up "Restaurant of the Year" in the Manawatu Hospitality Awards and has since been recognised in the Beef and Lamb Excellence Awards and by Cuisine Magazine. Cuisine Magazine noted Table 188's dish as "Most Innovative" and placed in the Top Four in previous Plate of Origin competition.
